Convincing photo quality with OCP inks
for Canon Selphy DS700
Since the beginning of 2005 Canon offers with the Selphy DS700 a stand-alone photo printer which is capable with 10x15 cm/4x6'' photo paper, only.
Due to the demand of photo realism, Canon equipped this printer with the new color cartridge BCI 16C. While this cartridge looks very similar to the BCI 15C, the inks have a different color gamut.
Therefore OCP has designed a new set of inks especially for the BCI 16C (see PDF-Newsletter below). These inks have proceeded extensive tests and match perfectly with Canons FINE Print technology which enables a physical resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi at a drop size down to 2 pl.
The new portable printer Canon PIXMA iP90, which replaces the former i80, also uses the new BCI 16C. While the Selphy prints black as composite colors, the iP90 uses additionally the black ink cartridge BCI 15BK, which can be refilled with OCP IJ BKP 44.
